Rushell Clarke, HitSearch’s newest recruit gives us a brief insight into her job role and life at LIP.
Q1. What is your position at HitSearch?
Marketing and Communications Director
Q2. When did you join the company?
10th March 2014 – currently in week 4!
Q3. What attracted you joining HitSearch?
I’ve been aware of HitSearch for several years, having worked previously with the founding directors, Andy Redfern and Andy Donaldson, whilst at Mando Group on joint projects. I knew of their excellent reputation for best practice search marketing and really liked their honest and professional approach to business.
Q4. How have you found working at HitSearch so far?
Educational – the team are so knowledgeable about search marketing and it’s such a rapidly evolving service, it’s been real learning curve getting up to speed with both the service offer and the clients we work with. The team have been extremely welcoming and very patient with my endless questions!
Q5. What will be your main responsibility at the company?
Increasing inbound leads to the organisation through a series of projects that will form the marketing strategy. Establishing firm foundations for the marketing and communications process and working with the team to improve all external communications.
Q6. What type of projects and clients will you be working with?
My initial work has really been about understanding the starting point – where are we up to with regards to marketing; undertaking a review of previous campaigns, data, management systems, sales and marketing collateral, brand and how services are promoted across various channels.
I’m currently setting up a scalable marketing function, developing the tender process, creating new routes to market, firming up the HitSearch brand and managing the website. I’ve met a couple of clients, which has been really insightful and highlighted for me the creative approach the team takes to delivering real results on an individual customer basis.
Q7. How have you found working at LIP?
The facilities are good – the café is a real bonus and I look forward to trying out the gym when I get a chance. The train station is very handy and of course the car parking is great.
