Kilby House Data Centre Opens
AIMES are pleased to announce the opening of its Kilby House Data centre.
The new facility is located within the Liverpool Innovation Park, which is ideally located just minutes from the M62 and M57 and within easy reach of Manchester International and John Lennon airports and Media City UK.
AIMES have developed the 35,000 sq ft building into a flexible 10,000 sq ft modular data centre solution. Phase 1 consists of two 30 rack suites which are able to accommodate workloads of between 5-20 KW per rack and still provide a PUE ?1.4. Currently, Kilby House is provisioned with 1.5MVA which can easily be increased to 4MVA if required.
Liverpool Innovation Park is positioned within a High Voltage resilient ring and able to provide up to 10MVA.
Professor Dennis Kehoe, CEO at AIMES, said: “The new data centre facility we’ve built in Kilby House will save over 3,000 tonnes of CO2 a year, putting Liverpool at the forefront of energy efficient digital provision in the UK and making Kilby House an attractive destination for the hosting of digital infrastructure.
“Customers can benefit from the improved levels of energy efficiency, cost savings, increased resilience and security that the new facilities offer”
