Baxter chosen to support the NHS in delivery of Home Parenteral Nutrition to patients

Baxter recognises that the effective provision for Home Parenteral Nutrition (HPN) patients requires a close partnership with patients, their families and healthcare professionals.

Therefore we are very pleased to announce that the company has been selected as an approved high quality provider of HPN services in England as a result of the first National Framework for the provision of Home Parenteral Nutrition.

Our focus is to provide homecare which is responsive, professional and empathetic in meeting the needs of patients and the NHS. Our HPN service includes:

  • Provision of compounded parenteral nutrition (PN) and associated pharmaceuticals
  • Supply of the equipment required to store and infuse the PN
  • Specialist nursing provision
  • Expert support and formulation advice from our Pharmacist team
  • Clinical waste collection Baxter provides medication (including compounded products), ancillary items and medical equipment direct to patients’ homes together with any associated nursing support that may be required for those patients requiring HPN.

Baxter also has expertise in providing homecare services to patients with Cystic Fibrosis, Thalassemia and Rheumatoid Arthritis.
