Funding Opportunities

Without adequate or appropriate funding even great business can fail to achieve full potential. Key LIP partners are able to offer access to a portfolio of public sector funding sources. These include:

• Liverpool Vision’s Investment Management Service which can address most business needs including Start Up Funds, and its Financial Assistance to Business scheme for growth projects creating new jobs.
• The £80 million Merseyside Special Investment Fund for loans and equity along with management support.
• Liverpool Chamber of Commerce’s Grant Finder provides help in finding grants, loans and awards for businesses.
• Regional development agency, NWDA, also provides advice and financial support to businesses within, and relocating to, the wider North West region. NWDA support includes small loans for business, transitional loans for SMEs, venture capital, and loan funds for loan, equity and mezzanine funding.
• North West Business Angels offers equity investments (£20000 to £500000).
• Innovation vouchers for North West business owners, entrepreneurs, and enterprises to purchase up to £7000 of academic expertise from the region’s centres of academic excellence (universities and further education colleges).
• RTC North offer assistance via the Frameworks NW programme to firms based in the region who are seeking european funding opportunities.
