Three new occupiers at Liverpool Innovation Park

Three more companies have seen the benefit of taking office space at Liverpool Innovation Park on Edge Lane.

Commendium Ltd, David Twiggs Consulting Ltd and Araya Facilities Services have taken a total of 544 sq ft at the development, illustrating that the park remains a popular hub for start-ups and growing businesses.

Web designer, David Twiggs Consulting has taken 101 sq ft in the Baird House Business Centre and Araya Facilities Services, which carries out work on behalf of insurance companies and loss adjusters, estate agents and property management companies maintaining and restoring domestic and commercial rental properties, will occupy 104 sq ft.

Commendium Ltd has taken 239 sq ft, also in the Baird House Business Centre. Commendium is a specialist at marketing new technologies, services and ideas in the field of telecoms and eCommerce and is developing new technologies of its own to bring to market. The company set out with the intention to establish a business base in the North West, predominantly in the Liverpool/Greater Manchester area.

Commendium’s CEO, Richard Walters, said: “We made the decision to locate the business to Liverpool Innovation Park for a number of reasons. The simple ‘plug and play’ system at the park makes it so easy for businesses to become established in their new offices instantly and the telecoms services are excellent. Location was also an important factor, so LIP ticked all of the boxes there. We were also very impressed with the growing community of like-minded businesses at the park, which we know will be an asset to Commendium going forward as we continue to develop.”

Delyth Lloyd, innovation manager at Liverpool Innovation Park, said: “We are very pleased to welcome three new occupiers to the park. There is a definite trend in the market towards companies taking smaller office spaces in business and creative hubs where they can grow alongside other similar companies before expanding. A number of city centre and out of town developments are fulfilling this requirement at the moment, however at LIP, we have the flexibility and the space to be able to accommodate businesses as they grow so when they need bigger offices, they don’t need to relocate to other schemes.”

Occupier, Bedspace Resource Ltd, which provides support and accommodation for vulnerable people, has also moved offices at the park, due to the expansion of the team and increased activity in the area. The company, which has been at LIP since December 2012, has doubled its space from 239 sq ft to 499 sq ft.
