Local MP Luciana Berger Supports Liverpool's Gaming Community

Berger's action followed a recent report in which trade body TIGA repeated previous calls for tax breaks for Games companies similar to those offered in countries like Canada.

The report suggests such action is needed to reverse recent declines in headcount in the sector from companies such as Bizarre Creations.

"The tax relief would work just like the existing tax break for British films," said Wavertree MP Luciana Berger.

"The truth is this tax relief supports British industry, pays for itself & could create over 3,000 jobs. The industry produces games not just for the living room, but also educational tools in schools, & for training in areas such as defence."
