Last week LIP sponsored and hosted a Forum for the Built Environment (FBE) breakfast event, where Ashtenne Space Northwest’s director Wayne Locke, Liverpool Science Park’s CEO Chris Musson and UKSPA charman David Hardman were on the panel discussing the future of science and innovation parks in the north west.
Prior to this,on the 22nd May, LIP hosted a successful Eastern Approaches Business Leaders Group Meeting to officially launch the new Liverpool Cycle Scheme, which featured a talk by Olympic gold medal winning cyclist and the scheme’s champion, Chris Boardman.
On June 20th LIP ran a seminar on employment law and heath and safety legislation on, which provided business owners with useful information, tips and advice to assist them with their legal obligations and how to use the law to their business’s benefit. Following this on the 25th June, as part of Liverpool’s Accelerate 2013, LIP will host a fringe event designed to help the City tap into markets in London and the South East.
As part of Liverpool’s Accelerate 2013, LIP will host two fringe events. The first event on June 25th is designed to help the City tap into markets in London and the South East, and will feature a presentation and discussion led by management consultant and trainer Daivd Parrish. A presentation and Q&A with a London expert who has experience of winning busness in the South East will follow.
On June 26th LIP will host an ‘Attracting Investment’ event, featuring a workshop in the morning before attendees are given the opportunity to prepare and practice their investment pitches – and the winner gets a prize!
The Information Communications Knowledge Transfer Network (ICT KTN) is teaming up with LIP on July 10th to stage an event informing organisaions about the many sources of funding available for R&D. The event is strongly recommended for those working in the technology/ICT and research sectors.
Rounding up the season of events a workshop and lecture with multiple business owner, entrepreneur, investor and academic extraordinaire Neil Campbell, who will come to LIP in the autumn to provide tenants and guests with a series of business development workshops.
