AIMES Invests £100,000 in New Services Delivered From LIP Offices
Matching £50,000 of its own money with a £50,000 Enterprise Finance Guarantee loan through NatWest, AIMES will inject to the business to cover the cost of new equipment, servers and secure power supplies for the company’s business continuity and cloud computing services.
AIMES’s business continuity service provides clients with a physical location and back-up IT infrastructure in the event of an incident which disrupts their day-to-day operations.
The service offers businesses secure data back-up on a scalable and consumption-based pricing model.
Established four years ago, AIMES has already achieved a turnover of more than £1m and established a client base which includes Novartis Vaccines, Park Group, the Institute of Child Health and Caterpillar Group.
Chief executive Prof Dennis Kehoe said: “Our ambition is to develop a successful digital infrastructure business here in Merseyside which combines highly efficient cloud computing, and secure and resilient facilities with cost effective, high bandwidth network provision.”
AIMES’s portfolio of services includes secure data hosting, data back-up and disaster recovery solutions.
The company, which is based in Liverpool Innovation Park, is expecting to grow turnover to £10m within the next five years.
LIP's Innovation Manager, Mark Tock, said, "We're delighted to see successful hi-tech companies like AIMES investing in growing their business at LIP & benefitting from the site's location, available power & connectivity."
