History and Objectives

Liverpool Innovation Park (LIP) comprises Marconi’s former HQ site, the Wavertree Technology Park, and over 10 acres of development plots. Space NW is developing an authentic innovation park from an existing estate of 500,000 square feet of buildings set in 110 acres of landscaped grounds. Potential exists to double the built environment to 1 million square feet.

The completed Park is an internationally-recognised engine of economic growth powered by a vibrant community of resident innovative technology-based start-ups, SMEs, and multi-national companies. To ensure an optimal mix of companies co-reside at the Park, preferrentially targets knowledge-intensive and ICT-dependent businesses.

LIP provides the natural grow-on space for hi-tech companies previously absent from the Liverpool’s knowledge economy offering.

At LIP, tenants are offered a range of property solutions suitable for every stage of the company life cycle:
• 101 square foot modules to small offices
• 2,000 square foot grow-on spaces to 7,000 square foot refurnished stand alone suites
• 80,000 square foot buildings to development plots
With most legal work being carried out in-house, companies are able to grow at LIP with minimal disruption to their normal operations.
