One of the reasons we picked LIP was its location. Our customers have found it very easy to locate us & quite a number of them have commented on the excellent work environment we have here.
Innovation pedigree
The Liverpool Innovation Park (LIP) site has been at the forefront of global IT and telecoms innovation and manufacture for over a century.
Associated with renowned technology brands such as AT&E, Plessey, GPT, Ericsson, and Marconi, the site was remodelled during the 1980’s in to a campus environment ideal for effective knowledge exchange.
The site subsequently briefly passed into public ownership and was identified as an economic engine and international hub for digital and creative businesses.
Private sector partnership, Space North West re-launched the site as LIP in April 2008, with the ambition of creating a commercially sustainable and internationally connected hub which enhances the technological and economic wealth of Liverpool by supporting new business creation, attracting investment, and strengthening innovation networks.
Space North is investing in the regeneration of LIP’s 500,000 sq ft built environment by enhancing the Park’s already considerable infrastructure and refurbishing buildings named after pioneers of technological innovation.
The community of entrepreneurs and knowledge-intensive companies already based at LIP benefit from access to flexible space, resilient high capacity internet connectivity, significant power supply, and access to international innovation networks.
Future plans for LIP are detailed elsewhere on the site.
