Future developments

LIP is subject to a rolling programme of investment that both enhances the value of the estate and improves the environment for our tenant companies’ staff.

Recent investments have included:

  • creation of Innovation Boulevard to open up the Park
  • upgraded CCTV cameras on the Wavertree Park
  • construction of a new pharmaceutical manufacturing facility on Wavertree Boulevard
  • support in the creation of Mango Wine Bar and Restaurant
  • landscaping of Linear Park

Further imminent investments will integrate additional localised parking within the Park, refurbish almost 20,000 square feet of new office space, and create of a new central reception, networking hub, and cafe/bistro on LIP’s Edge Lane campus.

LIP tenants will also benefit from regeneration of Liverpool’s Eastern Gateway including the Edge Lane Project.

The Edge Lane Regeneration Project continues to improve road links to Liverpool’s vibrant cultural centre via the City’s Knowledge Quarter.

A recently announced two phase redevelopment of the adjacent Edge Lane Retail Park will deliver enhanced retail and leisure complex (including eateries, gym, and cinema), improved transport links, and a new park 5 minutes east of LIP linked to the Botanic Park by a green corridor through LIP.

Building Schools for the Future programme plans to create a new science and technology to the west of Innovation Boulevard will further enhance the LIP estate, bring outdoor sporting facilities, enable LIP tenants to influence the training of potential recruits, and help enhance transport links.
